Robert Hugh Cochran, age 96, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2020, in Bryan, Texas. He was born on June 30, 1923, in Wall, Texas, to Rubie Ellen (Gilbert) and Robert Hugh Cochran Sr. Robert proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He married Bonnie Dell Neel in Las Cruces, New Mexico, on February 2, 1943, and they were blessed with three children. Robert was self-employed in the automotive industry.
Robert is survived by his children, Carrol Hoke and her husband, John, of Joplin, Missouri, Stephen Cochran and his wife, Kathleen, of Round Tock, Texas, and Gerald Cochran and his wife, Tonya, of Hilltop Lakes, Texas; eleven grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie D. Cochran; his brother, Pat Cochran; and his sisters, Othela Fisher, Audele Elliott, Maureen Sockwell, and Eula Faye Windham.
The graveside service will be held at Laurel Land Memorial Park, 6000 South R.L. Thornton Freeway (Interstate 35), Dallas, Texas, on Monday, February 3, 2020, at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Tony Taylor.
