Robert “Chris” Dellinger

Robert Christopher “Chris” Dellinger, 64, of Prosper, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2025. He was born on August 31, 1960, the son of Robert Lee Dellinger and Dorothy Jean (Taylor) Dellinger in Dallas, Texas. On October 1, 1978, Chris married the love of his life, Donna Wingfield, in Calera, Oklahoma. Together, they built a life full of love, faith, and family. He was the longtime owner of a local steel company, Unity Erectors, where he earned the   respect of colleagues and customers alike through his hard work and   integrity. His strong faith was central to his life.

Chris’s presence brought warmth and strength to all who knew him. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and a cherished friend to many. Chris will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Dellinger of Prosper, Texas; daughters, Misty Steadman and husband, Gary, also of Prosper, Texas and Monica Dellinger of Sneek, Holland, Netherlands; granddaughters, Lauren Harper and husband, Tom of Allen, Texas and Bella Steadman of Prosper, Texas; grandsons, Blake Simmons and wife, Roni of Fort Worth, Texas and Liam Walta of Sneek Holland, Netherlands; great-granddaughter, Briggs Harper of Allen, Texas; mother, Jean Townsend of Calera, Oklahoma; brothers, Steve Dellinger and wife, Eunice of Midlothian, Texas and Ken Dellinger of Allen, Texas; sister, Darla Dollar of Cartwright, Oklahoma; and a host of other loving family members and friends.

Chris was preceded in death by his father, Bob Dellinger.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, April 252025 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The service will also be live-streamed at TJMfuneral.com on Robert’s obituary page by clicking on the following link: https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/robert-chris-dellinger.  After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location.  Following the service, a committal service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday afternoon at Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo, Oklahoma.

The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
