Robert Bolling Spragins of Plano, Texas passed away peacefully on January 22, 2023 at the age of 82. He was born on October 2, 1940 to Charles Allen and Mabel Cecilia (Whitfield) Spragins in Wichita Falls, Texas. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. Robert married Linda Lefevre on Dec. 31, 1980 in Dallas, Texas and together, they attended St. Andrew Methodist Church in Plano, Texas.
Bob was a devoted husband of 42 years to his wife, Linda, and a loving father and grandfather. Bob was a born salesman who always treated his employees and colleagues with respect. As such a consummate salesman he was very successful because his customers always knew that Bob would personally service their account. His work ethic was inherited from his parents and brother who were also in sales.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Spragins of Plano, Texas; eldest daughter, Kim Willis (Ed) of Montgomery, Texas and their children, Will Willis (Sara) of Denton, Texas, and Courtney Halstead (Scott) of Montgomery, Texas (great grandchildren, Dylan Edward Pharis and Macee and Hannah Halstead); sons, Robert Spragins, II (Maylin) of McKinney, Texas, and Kyle Spragins (Kate) of Prosper, Texas and their children, Reese (who shared his birthday) and Maxwell Spragins; and youngest daughter, Kelli Spragins of Plano, Texas. Bob is also survived by his brother-in-law, Jerry Lefevre (Juanell) of Odessa, Texas (their son, Terry Lefevre; their daughter, Danielle Meadors (Forrest)); nephews, Bubba Spragins (Beth) of Katy, Texas (their children, Olivia and Owen), John Spragins (Jessie) of Wichita Falls, Texas (their children, Seve and Khloe Sanchez), Larry Morris (Susan) of Grapevine, Texas, (their son, Leland Morris (Brooke) with their children, Cooper, Harrison and Beau; their daughter, Lindsey Overton (Colin) with their children Olivia and Gwen), Garry Morris (Melissa) of Carrollton, Texas (their daughters, Alisha Preston (Algot) with their children Avery, Emerson, Sawyer and Iyla; and Savannah Morris), Barry Morris (Tom Garcia) of Midland, Texas; goddaughter, Natalie Van Duyne; godson, Jeff Jackson; and a host of other loving family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Allen Spragins; great nephew, Gabriel Morris; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Shirley and Bill Morris.
The family will receive friends on the afternoon of Friday, January 27, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. A memorial service in Bob’s honor will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the funeral home.
