Robert “Bobby” Earl Harrington

Robert “Bobby” Earl Harrington passed away on February 7, 2024, in Allen, Texas at the age of 82. He was born to Ralph and Irma (Wyrens) Harrington on November 11, 1941, in White Plains, New York.  The family moved to Baltimore, Maryland early on and this is where Bobby grew up. 

Bobby was a graduate of Friends School in Baltimore in 1960 where he excelled as co-captain of the varsity lacrosse team and was awarded a scholarship to play on at prestigious Hobart & William Smith College in Geneva, New York. He was a proud member of the Sigma Chi fraternity and graduated in 1965. He also served our country through the United States Marine Corp.

Bobby was a long time employee of the Kenall Division and Colgate Palmolive and received many sales position awards and accolades.  He spent his early retirement as a resident of the Houghton Lake Area in Michigan where he thoroughly enjoyed the lake life and was a proud member of the St. John Lutheran Church there. He spent time volunteering for Meal on Wheels as well as volunteer driving for various social services programs before his health started to decline.

Bob suffered long term from cardio & peripheral arterial disease as well as Alzheimer´s.  He spent the last 7 years of his life in Allen, Texas to be closer to his surviving children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his son, Tim Harrington and wife Carolyn; son, Michael Harrington and wife Christina; and daughter, Beth Ann Monsen and husband Joshua. He also leaves behind his six grandchildren: Katie and Will Harrington; Twins, Jeremy and Sonia Harrington and Emma and Thatcher Monsen.

He is also survived by his sister Carol Fitting and husband David of San Jose, California and their three children. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph, and Irma Harrington of Baltimore, Maryland.
