Robert “Bob” W. Thurgood of Allen, Texas passed away February 12, 2020 at the age of 56. He was born on March 19, 1963 to William and Ruth Thurgood. Bob and his beloved wife, Sharon, had a collaborative and caring marriage of 37 years that was based on mutual support and a deep love for each other. He is a proud and gracious father to his three daughters, along with being an attentive and affectionate Grandpa to his three grand daughters. He was the founder and CEO of H2O Plumbing and Hot Water Systems for over two decades as well as Best Services. Bob was an active member of both the Dallas and Tarrant County Apartment Associations. Through all of this, he was a devoted member of St. Jude. Catholic Church.
Bob dedicated his life to the success and accomplishments of his family and friends. His legacy continues through his acts of service and mentorship. He immersed himself in every one of his relationships and was a pillar in each of his many communities. While showing respect to everyone he encountered on his journey, he listened to and treated everyone as an equal. Bob passionately approached everything he did with an inspiring zest for life.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon; daughters, Erin, Megan and Sarah, as well as their spouses, Matthew and John-David; granddaughters, Ashlyn, Annslee and Elliette; Mother, Ruth; sisters, Diane, Susan and Nancy; numerous beloved family members and a host of cherished friends.
He rejoins by his father, William; sister, Dawn; and brother Edward.
Bob will be missed, but never forgotten.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow, Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1515 North Greenville Avenue, Allen, Texas 75002. Interment is to follow at Plano Mutual Cemetery in Plano, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation Monday evening from 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
