Robert “Bob” Joseph Hutsler, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend of Aubrey, Texas passed away on March 23, 2024 at the age of 81. He was born to parents Philip Myles Hutsler and Mary Juanita Hutsler (Layton) on August 7, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Bob spent most of his high school years, and the year after, in seminary. After departing from his religious studies Bob was drafted into the Army in the Spring of 1964. He served two years, spending 13 months in an Army camp in Korea as a pay clerk. On October 8, 1977, Bob married his beloved late wife, Helen Roselinda Hutsler, embarking on a journey of love and companionship that lasted a lifetime. Together, they shared many happy years, and countless cherished memories. Bob’s professional life was marked by dedication and expertise as a computer programmer with IBM Corporation, where he devoted 25 years of his career. Bob was deeply committed to serving his community. He found fulfillment in volunteering at the Charles W. Eisemann Center and Methodist Richardson Hospital, where his kindness and generosity touched the lives of many.
In his leisure time, Bob found joy in simple pleasures, such as reading by the pool and spending quality time with his grandchildren. His love for his family knew no bounds, and he cherished every moment spent with his daughters, Kathy Houston and Lisa Marie Toulouse, and their families. Bob will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his warmth, kindness, and the love he shared with all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Robert is survived by his loving daughter, Kathy Houston and husband, Ken Houston Of Denton, Texas; daughter, Lisa Marie Toulouse and husband, Jeff Toulouse of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Amy Robertson, Kenny Houston, Jeffrey Toulouse, and Jackson Toulouse; sister, Patricia LeMaster of Missouri; brother, Mike Hutsler of Kentucky; cousin, Carol Watts of Missouri; and Peggy Giesler of Missouri, in addition to numerous other loving family, and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Philip Hutsler and Mary Juanita Hutlser; beloved wife, Helen Hutsler; brother, Philip Hutsler Jr, Edward Hutsler; and sisters, Nita Reed, and Rose Klott.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Following the service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service.
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
