Robert Eugene DeBoard of Allen, Texas went to be with the Lord on October 31, 2015 at the age of 82. He was born on June 30, 1933 to Jesse Paul and Sadie Johanna (Weber) DeBoard in Covington, Oklahoma. Robert graduated from Covington High School in 1951 and Enid Business College with a Business Administration Degree in 1952. After three years of night school at Phillips University, he attended Oklahoma State University and graduated in 1962 with a BS Degree in Accounting. Robert sat for his CPA exam and passed it on the first attempt. He worked for Arthur Anderson Co., Gulf Oil Co. and Chevron Oil Co. in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Atlanta, Georgia and Houston, Texas, retiring in 1992. Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955, serving in Ft. Smith, Arkansas; Indianapolis, Indiana and Munich, Germany. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Allen, Texas and the BFG Impact Class. Robert married Evelyn Johnson on August 22, 1953 at the Hunter Christian Church in Hunter, Oklahoma. They were blessed with three children, nine grandchildren and two great-grandsons.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of sixty-two years, Evelyn DeBoard; children, Brent Eugene DeBoard of Dalton, Georgia, Jana Van Vorhis and her husband Doug of Plano, Texas, Amy Sutton and her husband Craig of Parker, Texas; grandchildren, Ryan and Kristin DeBoard, Christopher DeBoard, Zack Sutton, Austin Sutton, Lindsey Sutton, Emory Van Vorhis, Avery Van Vorhis and Sawyer Van Vorhis; great-grandsons, Caleb John DeBoard and Andrew Wayne DeBoard; sisters, Virginia Braley of Casper, Wyoming , JoAnn Touchstone of Abilene, Texas; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Norman DeBoard of Marshall, Oklahoma; and sister, Geraldine Collett of McPherson, Kansas.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday evening, November 3, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.

A funeral service will also be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 6, 2015 at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home in Enid, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday evening, November 5, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home in Enid, Oklahoma.

The family suggests memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Allen, Texas or the charity of your choice.
