Ricky Clifford Hallmark, age 67, passed away at Methodist Hospital in Richardson on August 24, 2021. He was born to Clifford and Patsy Yates Hallmark August 15, 1954 in Houston.
Visitation will be at Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home in Leonard, Friday, August 27, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 P. M. The funeral service will be conducted by Charles Wrenn and Mark Buchanan at the funeral home, at 10:00 A. M. Saturday, August 28, 2021. Interment will follow at Leonard Cemetery with military honors provided by the US Navy. Pallbearers will be Hunter Reaves, Jacob Rivas, Bobby Lee Hanson, Larry Knight, Larry Don Knight and Darrell Grintz. Paul Rauschenberg and Salvador Rivas will be honorary pallbearers.
Ricky grew up in Frisco and graduated from Frisco High School in 1972, and immediately went to work for Texas Instruments. He joined the Navy in 1975, serving in the Mediterranean until he was honorably discharged in 1980 as a Second-Class Petty Officer. He went back to work for TI from 1980 and stayed there when the facility he worked for became part of Raytheon until he retired as a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer II from Raytheon in 2019 after nearly 40 years of dedicated service.
Ricky was loved by everyone. He loved his family and is fondly remembered as a loving brother, father and grandfather who went out of his way to take care of his children and grandchildren on their birthdays and special occasions. When Ricky was not doting on his family, he loved being outdoors: hunting, fishing, camping, etc. He also enjoyed playing 42 and board games.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Clifford Hallmark and Patsy Hallmark Broyles stepfather; J.C. Broyles, wife; Glenda Hallmark, brother; Randy Marcus Hallmark, aunt Melba Barnett and uncle Lonnie Yates.
Ricky is survived by his daughter; Cary Rivas, grandson; Jacob Rivas, granddaughter, Jennifer Rivas, sister, Ruthie Hanson, nephew, Bobby Lee Hanson, niece; Amy Reaves, aunt; Betty Antwiler, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins. He is also survived by his lifelong friend and caregiver Paul Rauschenberg, and a host of other relatives and friends.
