We would like to honor the memory of Rickey Lewis Moran, affectionately known as Dad, Pops, and Tricky Rickey, who left this world too early on November 13, 2024, at the age of 74. He is now welcomed home by our Heavenly Father.
His remarkable journey began on February 25, 1950, in Longview, Texas, born to Abel R. and Betty Jane (Ballenger) Moran. Rickey’s love story with his beloved wife, Belinda Sue Williams, began in 1967 at Lake of the Pines, culminating in their marriage on December 08, 1969. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with cherished memories and two precious children.
A passionate golfer, slalom tournament water skier, snow skier, competitive motocross racer and Harley enthusiast, Rickey also found joy in fishing and had a natural gift and love of building custom homes for each family he worked with. His dedication and pride in his work were evident, but nothing compared to the love he held for his family. Rick was an easy person to love and he always treated everyone equally.
Rickey is survived by his devoted wife, Belinda Moran of Rockwall, Texas; their son, Casey Moran and his wife, Samantha, of Frisco, Texas; their daughter, Katy Moran of Rockwall, Texas; and his cherished granddaughter, Arabella Moran of Frisco, Texas. He is also survived by his sister, Dee Goodman and her husband, Steve of Plano, Texas; mother-in-law, Patricia Williams of Kilgore, Texas; brother-in-law, Mark Williams; and nephews, Grayson Goodman of Plano, Texas, and Derrick Goodman of Carrollton, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, who he loved dearly.
