Richard Wade Stapleton was born February 8, 1967 in Denison, Texas to Estion Thomas Stapleton and Elizabeth Joann Davis Stapleton. He died Sunday, March 27, 2016 at his residence in Trenton, Texas at the age of 49.

Richard was a graduate of McKinney High School. He was a life long roofer, learning his trade working with his father at Stapleton Roofing. He later started his own roofing company where he worked until he retired due to an injury. Richard was loved and will be missed.

He is survived by daughters, Tiffany Ann Banschbach and husband T.J. of Trenton, and Jaclyn Stapleton of Trenton; grandson, Charlie Jones of Trenton; mother, Liz Stapleton of Trenton; brothers, Tommy Stapleton and wife Rhonda of Trenton, Bill Stapleton and wife Miley of Howe; sister, Alicia Nors and husband Danny of Trenton; and brother, Justin Stapleton and wife Jennifer of Trenton; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father; and brothers, Rodney and Brandon.

Memorial Services will be held Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 10:00AM at the First United Methodist Church in Trenton, Texas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Kathy McLean-Davis.
