He will be missed by many people and will always be in their hearts.

I had the good fortune of knowing Rich for most of my career. From the Protection Mutual days in Los Angeles and Houston to the FM Global days in Dallas. He was a tremendous engineer for the company. Employees loved him as did our clients. Rich had a special gift of joy and happiness in everything he did. I miss the roadtrips to Palm Springs, Phoenix and drinking beer by the pool in Houston. Rich is no longer here with us in body but he will always live in our hearts and minds. I am privileged to have worked with him and to have had him as a friend. Until we meet again my friend! Bret Ahnell, January 14, 2022 I knew Rich since I first started at Protection Mutual almost 27 years ago. He always smiled no matter what and his laugh was bigger than life. We shared many Friday afternoons with our group of happy hour buddies, even after his retirement. Rich was a joy to be around. He was loved by all who knew him and he will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to Peggy and to his family. I pray for comfort, healing and peace. Julie Del Toro, January 14, 2022 I had the distinct pleasure of working with Rich for 5 years, and it was never a dull moment. His boisterous laugh could fill the halls, and he was always sure to remind us not to take work too seriously. I'm saddened by his loss but glad for the brief time I got to know him. My sympathies to Peggy, and the OFBB group who will have to make up Rich's portion (ramp up slowly!). Love ya Rich! Drew Gardner, January 13, 2022 I knew Rich professionally for about 15 years before he retired from FM Global and then personally until his passing. He was truly a friend and one that will be missed. His legacy in the work he performed for H-E-B lives today in the construction of the stores that will soon grow into the DFW area. However, more than his work, his love of life and people always impressed upon me the true value of relationships. I will miss his laugh and happy demeanor, but will always remember him with a smile! I pray that his family will be blessed and take comfort in knowing that he is in a much better place. Kevin Holguin, January 13, 2022 Rich, you will be terribly missed and thanks for the many years of being an excellent colleague. RIP!
