Richard "Dick" David Couron

Richard “Dick” David Couron of Athens, Texas passed away on August 17, 2019 at the age of 75. He was born on March 18, 1944 to Richard Narcis Couron and Edna Francis (Sheehy) Couron in Allentown, Pennsylvania and grew up in San Diego, California where he graduated from Hilltop High School in 1962. Richard relocated to Fort Worth, Texas where he attended and earned three distinguished degrees including a bachelor of science in math and psyhics as well as a master’s degree in management sciences and statistics from Texas Christian University. He married Susan Pamela Baker on April 29, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Richard successfully created companies and innovated software for the oil and gas industry. He passionately loved the Lord Jesus, his family, and coworkers. Richard had a love for nature, animals, horses, poker, and entrepreneurship. He found great joy in teaching and giving to others.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Couron of Athens, Texas; daughter, René Anderson; sons, David Couron and wife, Stephanie, Rick Couron and wife, Cambrie; step-son, Brian Dranguet; grandchildren, Jordan Anderson, Joellie Anderson, Joshua Anderson, Amber Russell, Errol Russell, Jessica Couron, Gabe Couron, Trevor Couron, Zoe Dranguet, and Judson Dranguet; and numerous other loving family and friends.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Edna Couron; sister, Jo-Ellyn Couron; and son-in-law, David Anderson.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Allen, Texas.

Memorial donations may be made in Richard’s memory to the Parkinson’s Foundation or the Pro-Life Foundation.
