Richard W. Bombei was born on January 11, 1963 to Lois and John Bombei. He passed away on August 8, 2023. Richard’s mom passed away in 2000. His father took care of him in his final years while he suffered with multiple sclerosis and was also paralyzed on the left side of his body. He had very little use of his right side. He lived with his father his entire life. Richard fell and landed on his head which took his life within two days of this head injury. Richard had a good life but struggled during his last twenty years. Richard was a member of the Christian Faith and belonged to All Dominion Church. In 1997, we bought an auto parts store in Allen, Texas and Richard ran the store until multiple sclerosis left him with having to use a ceiling lift and wheelchair to get around.
Richard was born in Indiana before moving to Texas in 1970. Richard attended high school in Allen, Texas and graduated in the top ten percent of his class. As his dad, I loved him and hope to meet him soon with his mom, brother, and granddaughter, Ashley. He loved going to Poor Richard’s Café every day to eat and see his friends.
He is survived by his father, John Warren Bombei of Plano, Texas; Sister, Becky Nutter of Kingston, Oklahoma; niece, Kristi Peavy and husband, Rick of Little Elm, Texas; great nephews, Jordy Peavy and Mureek Peavy.
Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Bombei; brother, John Allen Bombei; and niece, Ashley Nutter.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 14, 2023 at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway N, Allen, Texas. His friends and family are invited to a viewing and visitation on Sunday afternoon from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
