Richard (Rich) was born on February 10, 1939, in Sunrise, Wyoming, to Edwin and Catherina (Manzardo) Morris. He graduated from Sunrise High School in Sunrise, Wyoming and was a man of the Catholic faith. Richard was an Army veteran, and he was proud of his Italian heritage.
On May 21, 1971, Richard married the love of his life, Kathy (Brown) Morris, in Durant, Oklahoma.
Richard dedicated over 40 years of his career to Rockwell Collins and Boeing. In addition to his professional career, he proudly served his community as Fire Chief for the Lucas Volunteer Fire Department.
Richard had a lifelong love of farming, raising cattle and traveling. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family, who were the center of his life.
Richard is survived by his wife, Kathy Morris of Farmersville, Texas; son, Ray Morris and wife, Gina of Anna, Texas; son, Dobber Morris and wife, Jody of Princeton, Texas; daughter, Deanna Doyle and husband, Teddy of Bonham, Texas; granddaughter, Sara Brem and husband, Chad of Denison; granddaughter, Ashley Linkugel and wife, Courtney of East Chatham, New York; granddaughter, Hailey Pitman and husband, Billy of Josephine, Texas; grandson, Max Morris and fiancé, Emily of Princeton, Texas; six great grandchildren; sister-in-law Jayne Crepeau, Dallas, Texas; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Richard L. Morris, Jr.; sister, Mary Ann Hainline; brother, Leon Morris; brother, Leo Morris; brother, Tony Morris; and granddaughter, Amber Linkugel.
