Richard Keith Randall, “Rick”, age 72, passed away March 4, 2026, in McKinney, Texas. He was born on August 7, 1953, in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, to parents George Randall and Lucille (Niehaus) Randall.
Rick grew up in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, where he graduated from Detroit Lakes High School in 1972. Following high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 10 years.
In 1983, Rick married the love of his life, Paula Herron Ulch, in Celina, Texas. They were happily married for 42 years. Together they built a life centered on faith, love, and family. Rick was a member of Community North Baptist Church.
Rick spent 35 years working for Lone Star Gas, later Atmos Energy. He took great pride in his work and in providing for his family throughout the years.
In his free time, he enjoyed restoring his classic car and could often be found tinkering in the garage. Rick had a passion for music and had a beautiful singing voice that he loved to share with people. While in the military, he was lead singer of a band that played different genres of music. Rick later sang in the church choir, which led to a ministry of singing at church services, weddings, charity events, and funerals.
More than anything, Rick loved having his family together. He especially cherished the times when his grandchildren came to visit and loved attending their sporting events and activities.
Rick is survived by his wife, Paula; son, Justin Randall and wife Tiffany; step-son, Chris Ulch and wife Shelley; granddaughters, Savannah, Presley, and Holly; grandsons, Conner and Lucas; great grandchildren, Camden and Ava; Sister, Sharon; brothers Mark, Gary, and Bob; and a host of other family members and friends, who will miss him dearly and forever cherish his memory.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents George and Lucille Randall; his sisters, Jeanie and Roseann; and his mother and father-in-law, Ernest and Della Herron.
