IN LOVING MEMORY

Richard Jack Felixson

Jun 26 1932 - Aug 14 2016

Richard Jack Felixson, age 84, of Plano, Texas passed away on August 14, 2016 at his home.  He was born June 26, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio to Jack and Margaret (Alexander) Felixson and was a member of the Christian faith.  At age 17 he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served in the Korean Conflict.  After serving in the U.S. Air Force he moved to Colombia, South America, where he raised his family and owned and operated several businesses.  He was an avid bowler and a member of several bowling leagues in Plano.

Richard’s story is a very long and interesting one. He was a dreamer. Nothing was impossible. He was always thinking of what he could invent that would take the world by a storm. No one, no words, and no circumstances would make him give up his dreams. Dad was a hardworking, self-employed Entrepreneur his whole life. He worked his butt off to give us a good life. Had a million ideas, many different businesses, and always treated his employees with respect and kindness. He was a good, kind person. No matter how many times people he trusted and helped may have disappointed him, he would not stop being a good person and believing the best in people. He loved unconditionally. He was ALWAYS there for all of us. He was so positive and optimistic, always looking at the bright side, always putting his loved ones needs ahead of his own. He was the best Dad and husband ever! He put up a good fight to the end, until his body just couldn't go anymore.  Dad was loved deeply by us, his family and anyone who got to know him.

He is survived by his wife of eight years Lou Edwards; 3 daughters, Debbie Felixson of Cozumel, Mexico, Lori Felixson-Gordon and husband David of Bonham, Texas, and Susan Felixson Vega and husband Francisco of Princeton, Texas; Grandchildren, Nick Daines of Cozumel, Mexico and Natalia Vega of Princeton, Texas.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Sunday, September 11, 2016, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Allen, Texas.  The family will receive friends at a reception immediately following the memorial service.
