Richard Francis West Cobb, 64, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, went to be with the Lord on February 20, 2005. A long-time resident of Plano, Texas, he was born in Evansville, Indiana on February 21, 1940. He served in the military, Marine Corps and Air Force, from 1958-1963. During his lifetime he was a successful manager for an electronics service company and retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 2002. He is a member of the Poetry Society of Texas. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Oscar and Evelyn Cobb. He is survived by his wife, Sandra, his sister, Nancy Gunn of Evansville, Indiana, seven children, ten grandchildren, and his faithful companion, Puff. The children are Jeff Cobb and wife Nikki, Mark Cobb, Mason Cobb and wife Christina, Christy Chen and husband Dan, Lori Caraballo and husband San, Trey Strawn and wife Sylvana, and Curt Strawn and wife Gabby. The grandchildren are Christopher Rainbolt, Corey Chen, Cooper Chen, Trevor Cobb, Haley Cobb, Laronica Oerlein, Kevin Strawn, Faye Strawn, Sarah Strawn and Stephen Strawn. A celebration of his life will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 26, 2005 at Custer Road United Methodist Church, 6601 Custer Road, Plano, Texas 75023, Reverend Tom Brown officiating.
