Richard Charles Brannon

May 12, 1951 - May 8, 2008

Richard Charles Brannon passed away peacefully, but unexpectedly, on May 8, 2008 in Frisco, Texas. He was born in Queens, New York in 1951, but eventually settled in Texas where his life was defined by an unbounded love of his wife, Lori, and his intense work ethic. For relaxation, he preferred the diversion of working with computers, which tested his patience and attention to detail. Nowhere was this more obvious than his skillful work with digital video and images. His knowledge of trivia was unsurpassed and he frequently amazed friends and family with his instant recall of facts. Richard was preceded in death by his mother Marie, and father James. He is survived by his wife Lori, mother-in-law Bobby, brother-in-law Randy, brother Robert, sister-in-law Vicki and nephew Chris. Richard is dearly loved and will be greatly missed by both family and friends. Services will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Frisco, Texas on Wednesday May 14th at 2:00pm. For those wishing to make contributions in Richard’s honor, the family suggests the American Heart Association or any charity of their choice.

Richard was a kind and caring individual. He took the initiative to do things for others. He made our wedding video out of love. We treasure it every time we watch it. We remember him being quiet and in the background with camara in hand. He would humor us by laughing at our corny jokes. Richard was very generous. We should all strive to be a little more like him. He is a true gentleman and will deeply be missed by all that had the pleasure of his company. Although our daughter will not meet him, he will not be forgotten. Katelyn will see his magic in our wedding video he created for us. Love and Deepest sympathy, Scott, Meghan and Katelyn Timmes Scott G Timmes, May 30, 2008 I have many fond memories of my brother-in-law Richard. Richard and his brother Robert were extremely close. Robert talks to me about Richard often and is so very thankful that he was able to spend quality time with him just weeks before he died. My favorite memory of Richard involved our cat Misha. Richard was a huge help to me when I was still in Dallas waiting to join Robert in Beaufort. Richard was taking Misha and me to catch a flight to Beaufort when Misha had an 'accident' in his crate. Richard pulled off the road, dangled Misha in the air to finish his business, as I tried to clean out the crate. We were both laughing so hard that cars passing by were stopping to stare. Robert and I have great memories of Lori and Richard's visit to Beaufort. We have wonderful, silly pictures of that visit we will always treasure. We loved him and will always miss him. Love, Vicki vicki brannon, May 26, 2008 Lori, I am sorry to hear about your great loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Debbie Oswald, May 15, 2008 Lori, I'm so sorry for your loss.
