IN LOVING MEMORY

Rhonda Kay Massey

Oct 28 1948 - Sep 06 2021

Rhonda Kay (Mounger) Massey passed away on September 6, 2021, at the age of 72 in McKinney, Texas. She was born on October 28, 1948, to Joe B. Mounger and Nora Roberta (Cato) Mounger in Farmersville, Texas.

Rhonda enjoyed a fruitful life, not without its strife.  Her family was her pride and joy including her extended family.  From Farmersville to Plano and Anna, she positively touched the lives of many.  She would give her opinion without flinching or apology, but she never dismissed you for your choice and always welcomed you home when it didn’t work out. She may slide a little ‘I told you so’ into the conversation but it was met with a hug.

Rhonda was known for her amazing chocolate pie and deviled eggs and always making everyone feel welcome in her home.

She is survived by her sons: Joe Chandler and wife Kim of Wylie, Texas, Brent Massey and wife Amber of Anna, Texas and Ryan Massey of Anna, Texas, grandchildren, Grayson Chandler and Brooklyn Massey, her beloved dogs, Lucy and Sadie and numerous cousins, relatives, and friends.

A visitation will be held at Hurst’s Fielder-Baker Funeral Home on Thursday, September 9, 2021, from 6-8PM. The Funeral Service will be held at The Crossroads Community Church in Van Alstyne, Texas on Friday, September 10, 2021, at 10:00AM. Burial to follow the service at I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
