Rex Allan Clark passed away surrounded by his loved ones on January 16, 2022, in Bonham, Texas. He was born on November 13, 1956, to Richard Lee Clark and Bonnie Bessie Giller Clark in Dowagiac, Michigan. Rex married Vickie Davis on July 18, 1975, in Dowagiac, Michigan. Together, they shared 46 years of marriage.
Rex graduated Dowagiac High School in 1974. He joined the United States Army in 1976 to serve our country. Following his time in the army, Rex committed 20 years as the police chief for the Howard Township in Michigan and 18 years as the police chief for the city of Leonard, Texas.
Rex is a member of the First Baptist Church.
Rex is survived by his loving wife, Vickie Clark of Bonham, Texas; children, Sandra Cook and husband, Shawn, of Swartz Creek, Michigan, Tim Clark and wife, Amanda, of Ellisville, Missouri, Daniel Clark and wife Christina, of Bonham, Texas, and Kim Olson and husband, Troy, of Payneville, Kentucky; 10 grandchildren, Alex, Nate, Emily, Matthew, Alaina, Caleb, Itai, Ciarra, Cheyanne, and Caylee; brother, William Clark; and sister, Lynn Clark.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Bonnie Clark; and two brothers, Richard Clark and Robert Clark.
Rex will be missed by his family, friends, co-workers, and the people whose lives he impacted.
A visitation for Rex will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022, 6 -8 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 701 North Cedar Street, Leonard, Texas 75452.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at 2 p.m., at Howard Funeral Service, 201 East 3rd Street, Leachville, Arkansas 72438. A burial with military honors will follow at Cardwell Cemetery.
