Reuben Gerrill Hukill, aged 88, peacefully departed from this world on February 22, 2024, in Allen, Texas. Born on September 11, 1935, in Decatur, Texas, to Aubrey G. Hukill and Thelma Collins, Reuben leaves behind a legacy cherished by all who knew him.
Reuben was a man of unwavering faith, dedicated to his Baptist beliefs, which guided him throughout his life's journey. He served 8 years in the Navy before he dedicated 36 years of diligent service to Texas Instruments before retiring.
Throughout his life, Reuben touched the hearts of many with his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love for his family and friends. His legacy of hard work, faith, and love will continue to inspire those who knew him.
In his personal life, Reuben was cherished by his loved ones. He is survived by his devoted girlfriend, Betty Weatherford of Allen, Texas, and his loving daughters, Kelly Hukill of Denton, Texas, and Tracy Canterberry and her husband, Greg, of Bowie, Texas. Reuben's presence will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Andrea D. Hukill of Denton, Texas, Brandy Field and her husband, Alex, of Bowie, Texas, and Ashley Kunze of Bowie, Texas, as well as his great-grandchildren, Kasey and Levi. He also had blended family with Betty their daughter, Rhonda Gilster and her husband Steve and two granddaughters, Rachel Paul and her husband Mason and Anna Gilster all from Allen, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Bryan and siblings, Retta Fay Hukill, Mark Hukill, Elbert Hukill, and Orville Lee Hukill.
