Reid (Rusty) Alan Gordon of Frisco, Texas passed away at home on August 25, 2024 at age 65. He was born on September 9, 1958 to Stewart and Rosalind Gordon in Arlington, Virginia.
He graduated from Arundel High School in Gambrills, Maryland in 1977 and the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas in 1981 with a Business degree in Human Resources.
Rusty started his family August 8th, 1981 when he married his best friend, partner for life, and Angel, Karen Gordon. They just celebrated 43 years of marriage with his tradition of presenting Karen roses for each year. He was blessed with two children, Laura (his Munchkin) and Scott (also known as Junior), and a beautiful granddaughter Mina (his Mina-Mina).
After a remarkable and rewarding career in Human Resources in Houston and then Dallas, Rusty retired and fully enjoyed the rest of his days. He had a passion for family, sports, traveling, dachshunds, and making people laugh.
Rusty is survived by his beautiful and loyal wife, Karen Gordon of Frisco, Texas; his daughter Laura Marie Gordon and partner Kacee Carey of Garland, Texas; his son, Scott Michael and Liz Wilkerson along with her daughter Lily Wilkerson of Dallas, Texas; his precious granddaughter, Mina Renee Gordon, his mother in law, Linda Wallace of Denton, Texas; his brother, Skip Gordon and wife Debbie; his sister, Lani Gordon; his nephew, Josh Gordon; his niece, Sarah Wolfe and husband Josh, and their three children.
Rusty is preceded in death by his parents, Stewart and Rosalind Gordon, and his best friend, Olger Burch.
Details of a celebration of Rusty’s life are to come, and with heavy hearts, Team Gordon marches on with grace, knowing the founding member watches in peace from Heaven.
