Regina Elisabeth (Kreuzer) Krecke-Bennett

Regina Elisabeth (Kreuzer) Krecke-Bennett passed away on November 12, 2023, at Baybrooke Care Center in McKinney, Texas.  She was born April 19, 1964, in Möckmühl, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Regina had resided in Texas since 2016.

She is survived by her husband, Farren Bennett and daughter Rebecca Bennett, both of the home in McKinney, Texas, as well as daughters Caroline Krecke of Vienna, Austria, and Johanna Almásy, of Bernstein in Burgenland, Austria. One granddaughter, Aurelia Almásy of Bernstein in Burgenland, Austria, and one sister Traude Deckardt of Vienna, Austria.

Regina was proceeded in death by her parents, Albert and Katharina Kreuzer of Pfaffstetten, Austria and her beloved brother Albert Kreuzer, Jr.

Regina and Farren were married on December 19, 2002, in Feldkirch, Austria. They celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary in Oahu, Hawaii earlier this year.

She studied languages at the Universities of Vienna and Innsbruck, then became a life-long teacher, trainer and translator and co-owned a language school for several decades. Many of her students from around the world became life-long friends as she made learning a new language enjoyable.

Regina was confirmed as a youth into the Roman Catholic church, but after moving to the United States, she and her husband had attended Lifepointe Fellowship in McKinney, Texas the last six years.

In addition to being a doting mother and grandmother, she adored her two rescue Serbian dogs – Frankie and Archie, as well as her American cats – Rosie and Sally. Regina loved tending her flowers each summer and was always growing something non-traditional, including Elderflowers, fig plants and cotton.

The funeral service will be Friday, November 17, 2023, at Turrentine-Jackson- Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Memorials may be given to the ASPCA or Doctors without Borders, two of Regina’s favorite charities.
