IN LOVING MEMORY

Rebecca Lynn Collier-Sewell

Apr 04 1949 - Dec 17 2025

Rebecca Lynn (Thompson) Collier-Sewell, known to all who loved her as Becky, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, faith, and selfless love that touched countless lives.

Becky was born on April 4, 1949, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Norma (Arnold) and Eugene Thompson, and was raised in Midwest City. From the beginning, she lived with a deep sense of purpose and heart, qualities that defined her entire life.

Above all else, Becky’s life was anchored in her faith. Her relationship with God guided her actions and inspired the kindness, generosity, and empathy she showed so freely to others. She was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, and cherished friend. When she married Ken Sewell, she chose to hyphenate her name: Collier-Sewell - a decision that reflected her belief in honoring the relationships that shaped her life, especially her enduring bond with her beloved daughter, Chelsea Collier.

That same spirit of devotion carried into every season of Becky’s life. She was a loving caregiver to her mother until her passing in 2015 and later extended that same compassion to her husband. Becky gave of herself completely - emotionally, physically, and spiritually - without hesitation or expectation. She lived with extraordinary generosity, deep empathy, and a rare ability to make others feel seen, understood, and genuinely cared for.

Becky’s life was also “hyphenated” in her professional career. She built a long and respected career in the homebuilding industry. She was the first employee of Darling Homes, where she worked for more than 25 years and helped shape the company during its foundational years. After retiring, she continued her career with Grenadier Homes for another 15 years, where she was known for her professionalism, wisdom, and quiet leadership.

Becky will be remembered as one of the most loving people many will ever know. Her kindness was not loud, but steady, sincere, and transformative. She found joy in playing the guitar, singing, and spending time with her new-found friends at the Opry. She also enjoyed spending some of her downtime at the casino, but her greatest joy was her daughter.

She is survived by her daughter, Chelsea Collier; her treasured companion (morkie), Cinnamon; her niece Nikki Gann and husband Bill; her nephew Jesse Thompson and wife Keri; and her aunt Gloria (Arnold) Lynam.

She was preceded in death by her brother Kenneth Thompson; her husband Kenneth Sewell; her mother Norma (Arnold) Thompson; and her father Eugene Thompson.

Even in the face of terminal illness, Becky’s selflessness never wavered. In her final months, she chose to participate in a cancer clinical trial - not for herself, but in the hope that it might help others. This final act reflected exactly who she was: a woman whose instinct was always to give.

Becky’s life was a testament to love, faith, service, and quiet courage. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives were made better by knowing her.

Please feel free to stop by the Darling Ranch to celebrate Becky’s life on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. We invite you to share stories, memories, and the love we all have for Becky.
