IN LOVING MEMORY

Rebecca Jane Fordham King Calvin

Oct 29 1947 - Apr 02 2012

Rebecca Jane Fordham King Calvin, 64, of Allen, TX, died on April 2, 2012, following a devastating and crippling illness that lasted almost two years. Despite more than a dozen surgeries, she continued to work most of the time at the business she and her husband, W. K. ‘Cal’ Calvin, Jr., established in Allen in 1998: BEC N CALL Business & Personal Services, Inc.

‘Bec’, as she was known by both friends and clients, was born October 29, 1947, in Brookfield, Missouri, to Raymond Harold Fordham and Lillian Edith Hayward Fordham, both of whom live currently in Allen. Bec and Cal began their life together in Allen in 1998, launching their service business, BEC N CALL, the same year.

Bec was president of their personal services corporation, serving Allen and the surrounding area with her husband Cal for fourteen years.

In the mid-1960’s, Cal taught English, speech, drama and journalism in Brookfield; Bec was his student, taking every course Cal taught during her junior and senior years of high school. Shortly after graduation, Bec married Larry Francis King, father of her two children: Jane Michelle King Norton, McKinney, and Jason Fordham King, Los Angeles, CA.

Bec is survived by her husband Cal; daughter Jane and husband Larry Allen Norton, McKinney; son Jason and partner Sacha Baumann, California; brother Daniel Hayward Fordham and wife Lyn, Florida; parents Raymond and Lillian Fordham, Allen; stepdaughters Belinda Fay Calvin McBride and her husband, the Reverend David Eugene (Gene) McBride, Carrollton; Cheryl Kay Calvin and Pamela Gay Calvin Reece, both of Dallas; grandchildren Daniel Allen Norton, Larry Kendall Norton and Isabella Grace Norton, all of McKinney; first husband and longtime friend, Larry Francis King and wife, Roberta; and Bec’s beloved and cherished Teacup Chihuahua, Pound o’ Peanut.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, April 9, 2012, at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crystal Cathedral Ministries, 13280 Chapman Avenue, Garden Grove, CA  92840. Email contact for the Ministries is Sinae Kang [mailto:sinaek@crystalcathedral.org].
