Raymond “Ray” Wilson, 88, of Princeton, Texas passed away Sunday, May 30, 2021.
He was born September 2, 1932, in Pittsburg, Oklahoma to Cary Lee Wilson and Dollie (Howard) Wilson.
Raymond graduated from Kiowa High School and attended SMU. He married Dorothy Fay Kenner, May 9, 1951, in Fort Smith, Arkansas and was a Purchasing Agent for a door company for 22 years before operating his own business, Wilson’s House of Doors, for 20 years. Mr. Wilson was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Princeton, Texas. He also enjoyed gardening and canning his harvest. When he wasn’t in his garden, he could be found talking to his chickens trying to get them to lay more eggs.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Dorothy Wilson of Princeton; daughter, Cynthia Frye of Pottsboro, Texas; sons, Dennis Wilson and wife Carmen of Princeton and Danny Wilson and wife Sue of Allen, Texas; grandchildren, Eric & John Frye; Tamara Simpson; Dennis, Jr., Tony, Jacob, Nick & Colby Wilson; and Karen & Karley MacPherson; 16 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
Mr. Wilson is preceded in death by his grandson, Marcos Wilson.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at the First Baptist Church in Princeton, Texas. The family will receive guests one hour prior to service time. A committal service will follow at Princeton Cemetery.
