Raymond John Kuhlmeier, Jr. passed away on April 10, 2025, in McKinney, Texas at the age of 77.
Born on March 1, 1948, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Raymond and Betty Kuhlmeier, Raymond was a man of deep kindness, spirituality, and compassion. He left a lasting impression on all who knew him. His early years were marked by athletic excellence, culminating in a basketball scholarship to Duke University—a testament to his talent and dedication both on and off the court. After college, Raymond enjoyed a successful career in the fields of Engineering and Project Management.
Raymond shared his life with his beloved wife, Sandy Kuhlmeier. Together they built a loving family and raised two children: Adam Kuhlmeier and Kassie Keller. He found immense joy in being a grandfather to Jackson Keller, Tanner Keller, Madison Kuhlmeier, and Connor Kuhlmeier.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy Kuhlmeier; daughter, Kassie Keller and husband, Brett; son, Adam Kuhlmeier and wife, Ashley; grandchildren, Jackson Keller, Tanner Keller, Madison Kuhlmeier, and Connor Kuhlmeier; sister, Sally Beckley and husband Craig; and sisters-in-law, Judy Gellert and Sherry Sublett. He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Betty Kuhlmeier; and sister, Debbie Hall.
Raymond’s legacy endures through the love he gave his family and the values he imparted to those around him. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 19, 2025 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 420 S. Coit Road, Prosper, Texas 75078.
