Raymond Carl Castoldi of Melissa, Texas, passed away on August 7, 2024, at the age of 79. He was born on July 10, 1945, in Long Beach, New York, to Colombo and Ruth (Klyberg) Castoldi.

Raymond graduated from Oceanside High School class of 1963 and went on to earn his Bachelors Degree in Business from Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. Shortly after beginning his career, Raymond was drafted into the United States Army, where he served in Vietnam before receiving an honorable discharge.

Raymond returned to New York to marry the love of his life, Mary S. Caruana. The couple shared a beautiful life together, filled with love, laughter, and a deep sense of family. Raymond was an active member of his community, belonging to the American Legion in Baldwin, New York.

Raymond had many passions, including reading, fishing, collecting baseball cards, and traveling. However, his greatest pride and joy came from his family, whom he cherished and adored. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who always put his loved ones first.

Raymond was also a dedicated member of the Melissa United Methodist Church, where he found spiritual fulfillment and a sense of belonging.

Raymond Carl Castoldi leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and dedication. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His family and friends take comfort in the many wonderful memories they shared with him and in knowing he is at peace.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Mary Castoldi of Melissa, Texas; daughter, Sonia Weaver of Melissa, Texas; son, Craig Castoldi and wife, Lori of Wylie, Texas; daughter, Wendy Johnson and husband, Greg of Melissa, Texas; grandchildren, Brooke Weaver, Joseph Weaver, Brandon Powell, Logan Castoldi, Kaitlyn Johnson, Hailey Johnson, and Ava Johnson; brother, Carl B. Castoldi and wife, Debbye of West Windsor, New Jersey; sister-in-law, Kathy Castoldi of Georgetown, Texas; and several loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Colombo and Ruth Castoldi, and brother, Dr. Thomas Castoldi.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. The service will also be live streamed at the following link:https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/raymond-carl-castoldi.

The family will receive guests for a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
