Raymond "Ray" Charles Booth was born to Ozell Booth and Opal (Austin) Booth on October 24, 1975 in Wichita Falls, TX. He departed this earthly life on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.
Ray was a graduate of Hirschi High School in Wichita Falls, Texas and an alumnus of the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. Ray held a number of jobs in different industries, including working for a hospital, Cryovac, Raytheon, and Texas Instruments. His love of adventure was fostered by the opportunities he had to travel through his job. Ray spent time working in Portland, Oregon for TriQuint Semiconductor, in Albany, New York for Global Foundries, and in Austin, Texas for Samsung Semiconductor.
In 2000, Ray was blessed by the birth of his beautiful daughter, Mia. In May of 2008, Ray married Denise Mack in Plano, Texas. They shared a love of music and football. They enjoyed traveling the world together and they loved spending time with their friends and relatives.
A die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, Ray loved to work out and was very family oriented. He could always be depended on for help and truly enjoyed gatherings with his family. Ray had a passion for adventure and he loved to travel internationally, visiting places like Germany, Amsterdam, the Dominican Republic and Havana, Cuba.
Ray leaves to cherish his memories: a loving wife, Denise; a daughter, Mia Wallace; one brother, Steve (Vickie); four sisters, Teresa Luckey, Karen Walker (Cornelius), Tammy Ellis, and Heather Mack; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and special friends who were close like family - Cynthia Arps and Shavette Gooden, and best friends Stakeist Gooden and Cory Robinson.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 19, 2023 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. The service will be livestreamed at https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/raymond-c-booth. After the service, the recorded livestream will be available at the same link location. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Thursday between 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., to pay their respects and to sign the register book.
