IN LOVING MEMORY

Rashea Caresse Dozier

Apr 30 1984 - Sep 29 2024

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Rashea Caresse Dozier, who departed from this world on September 29, 2024, at the age of 40. Rashea was born on April 30, 1984, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to Forrest Dozier and Patricia (Brooks) Dozier.

Rashea was a graduate of Shadle Park High School in Spokane, Washington, and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in business from Eastern Washington University. He had a successful career in sales, starting in merchant services and advancing to medical sales.

Rashea's love for sports was a defining part of his life. As a passionate basketball player, he took his love for the game from the courts of Washington to California and even overseas. He was also an enthusiast of physical fitness, an avid NFL fan, enjoyed the strategy and camaraderie of fantasy football, and attending sporting events.

On May 20, 2020, Rashea married the love of his life, Jourdan. Together, they turned life’s everyday moments into treasured memories. Whether enjoying intimate dinners, concerts, or trips to the grocery store, their unbreakable bond was a shining testament to the power of true love. Their love inspired a nurturing family environment for their children. Rashea’s romantic gestures and thoughtful actions made their marriage a safe and comforting refuge from the demands of daily life.

Rashea's culinary skills were a testament to his warmth and generosity. He delighted in preparing meals for his family, especially his famous Christmas ribs and expertly smoked meats and fish.

When Rashea wasn't lifting weights, working, or watching sports, he could be found attending his son's sporting events, cheering him on from the stands. On the weekend and after work, Rashea would spend time with his daughter, swinging in their backyard, going for walks, or playing Barbies and “RaKen” patiently with her.

Rashea's dedication to his family was unwavering. He found joy and fulfillment in the company of his loved ones. He was a loving husband, a devoted father, a cherished son, and a loyal friend. Rashea's vibrant spirit, kindness, and love will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jourdan Dozier of McKinney, Texas; children, Malika Nicolle and Leila Dozier, both of McKinney, Texas; parents, Forrest and Patricia Dozier of McKinney, Texas; mother-in-law, Carrie Dove of McKinney, Texas; father-in-law, Michael Dove of Plano, Texas; brother-in-law, Kyle Dove of Plano, Texas; two closest friends, Marcela Holmes of Phoenix, Arizona, and Damen Logwood, also of Phoenix, Arizona; grandfather, Verlie Brooks of Jacksonville, Texas; grandmother, Earleen E. Dozier Wilson of Virgina Beach, Virginia; great-aunts, June Dozier Key and Glenda Dozier Graves, both of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and numerous other loving family and friends.
