Ransey Jack Cooper

Ransey Jack Cooper passed away on April 23, 2023 at the age of 89 in McKinney, Texas. He was born on August 1, 1933 in Leatha, Kentucky to Dewey O. Cooper and Malta Virginia Adams. Ransey married Frankie Tyrale Watson on July 9, 1957 in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

He was a member of First Baptist Church McKinney. Ransey mastered in finance and received his masters from Ohio State University. He entered the United States Armed Forces on July 27, 1954, where he was a Second Lieutenant, Navigator, and Bombardier. Ransey enjoyed the Wallstreet Journal, traveling, and family financial planning also occupied his time.

Ransey is survived by his wife, Frankie Cooper of McKinney, Texas; sister, Mildred “Millie” Hart of Columbus, Ohio; sister, Ruth Slyh and husband, Ed of Columbus, Ohio; sister, Luna Cummins of Columbus, Ohio and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth Cooper; son, Thomas Cooper; son, John Cooper; mother, Malta Virginia Adams; father, Dewey O. Cooper; sister, Mable Gay; sister, Rose Lakatos; sister, Irene Corbin; sister, Maxine Christman and brother, Dewey Cooper, Jr.
