Ramona Nevarez Robles passed away on October 1, 2023, in McKinney, Texas at the age of 81. She was born to Severiano and Alejita (Robles) Nevarez on November 18, 1941, in Durango, Mexico.
Ramona grew up in San Miguel de Papasquiaro and moved to the United States of America as a young lady in 1970, after her husband passed away. She first lived in California and worked hard as a single mother to provide for her kids. As her kids got older and moved away in pursuit of work, Ramona followed. She joined her son, Carlos, and his family in McKinney in 2008. Ramona was a very caring mother and grandmother. She cared deeply for those she loved, always willing to make a meal or feed them. Her grandkids always got all that Ramona could give, making birthdays and Christmas a wonderful time.
Ramona is survived by her sons, Onesimo Nevarez (Lourdez Rodriguez) of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Carlos Nevarez (Norma) of McKinney, Texas; 12 Grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Onesimo and her sons, Sotero Nevarez and Jose Luis Nevarez.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 9, 2023, at St. Michael the Archangel, 411 Paula Road McKinney, Texas 75069. Following the service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service.
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday evening, October 8, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine- Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
