Ramon Stewart Satterwhite of Fairview, Texas passed away July 4, 2022 at the age of 82. He was born on February 9, 1940 to Travis Bowden Satterwhite and Nona Faye (Stewart) Satterwhite in Little Rock, Arkansas. Ramon was a graduate of Little Rock Central High School. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Arkansas, then went on to receive his Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Mexico. Ramon married Katherine Priscilla “Pat” Holland on September 3, 1961 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He continued pursing his education by receiving his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University. Ramon and Katherine then relocated to Beaumont, Texas where he taught Electrical Engineering at Lamar University for several years until he entered the private sector where he worked until his retirement. In his spare time, Ramon loved flying and was an avid sailor. When he was younger, Ramon loved racing motocross. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Ramon will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Pat Satterwhite; sons, Scott and Greg along with their wives Teri and Lori. Scott’s children are Camille Satterwhite and Amiee Jette. Greg’s children are Emma and Carter Satterwhite. Sister-in-law, Lucy Hall and husband, John; niece, Katherine Crites and husband, Mark; great-niece, Kennedy Crites; and a host of other loving family and friends.
Ramon was preceded in death by his parents, Travis and Nona Satterwhite.
A private memorial service will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Allen.
