Uncle Ramon, I love you and I will miss you. I wish I had more memories of you. JJ was always so proud of you and spoke so highly of you. I will forever cherish the day you came with your family to visit us in California. I could feel your kindness, and your loving energy and finally understood what JJ was talking about. Your kindness and generosity are your legacy. Rest in peace. Karen Okey, May 25, 2019 RIP. Comfort and Peace to Rebecca and family.
Kyrie Huey, May 25, 2019 You will always have a special place in my heart, because you helped me grow as a person in so many ways. You encouraged and taught me how to speak my mind, pushed me to do the things I loved and always believed in my abilities to succeed. You were so incredibly smart, it was sometimes intimidating, but you loved to share your knowledge. The only person I knew who ALWAYS drank ice-cold milk with every meal + knew all the words to every song by Rush, so many fun memories I am thankful for, but most of all your friendship. We were lucky to have you in our lives. My thoughts are with all whose lives you have touched. Rest In Peace Ramon.
Zarena Marcus, May 25, 2019 Uncle Ramon, We will never forget all you have done and all you stood for. You were such a strong part of our family that we all knew we could count on for advice or in a time of need. Since I was a little kid I've looked up to you. No one was more intelligent in my eyes. If we couldn't find a solution or something seemed impossible you always had the answers or advice. You never just gave or did anything with out a lesson or reasoning behind it. I miss you so much and am glad that at least your earthly burdens aren't on your shoulders anymore and you can be at peace. You've helped lay the foundation for what we all are. I love you! Joshua Okey, May 25, 2019 You were the best uncle anyone could ever ask for. You have shaped me into the woman I am today. I love you more than words can say and I will miss you every single day. Rachel Rock, May 24, 2019 You have left a beautiful legacy in your family, your work, and your thoughtfulness. I am Cherokee and in Indian culture, we do not say a person has passed away, we say, “Ramon has crossed over” meaning you have crossed from this earthly life over into the spirit world, where we will one day meet again. We know you are not gone, but it will be awhile before we see you next. Osiyo, Ga lv la di e hi (Until then, heaven dweller) Dr Lisa Thomas, May 24, 2019 Ramon, It was such a pleasure knowing you; such a kind, gentle person. You will be greatly missed by your family and friends. I am glad to call you my friend, Rest In Peace.
Shannon , May 23, 2019 Ramon, so soon rest in the bosom of the Lord, we will miss you, our prayers are with the family.
Carl Lokko, May 23, 2019 Uncle, I've always looked up to you as a mentor and role model—a person in our family who never let circumstances define you or limit your achievements. Instead, you used what others would see as obstacles as fuel for your fire. You were unstoppable and incredibly inspiring. You always taught me that success is earned, and you earned it for everything you touched. You always showed me what it meant to work hard and pursue education, a career, and how to be financially smart, even in dark times. You gave me the advice I never got from anyone else, the advice that you don't usually want to hear, but need to hear. You imparted wisdom on me that I hold dear to my heart and apply in my daily life. I never even realized how often your words resound in my head in random moments until now. No one on this earth will ever fill the void of you being gone, but I will strive daily to make you proud, practicing the things you taught me since the time I was a little girl. You were there for me in times when I had no one else to lean on... and I could come to you with things that no one else that could understand. I cherished the times you would tell me "secrets" ... my dearest memories of you are the unexpected hour-long conversations we would have about life, love and everything else under the sun. You guided me in business and career decisions, majorly impacted my education, and massively defined my desire to be a strong and independent woman, yet still value family and God above all else. I love you, Uncle Ramon... your physical self will be missed fiercely, but you will live on in our hearts and memories forever. Love, Your oldest niece, Laura.
You have gone way too soon... but in your absence, we have all come together to honor your memory and celebrate your life for everything that you represent.
