Ralph Morgan Youngdale

Ralph Morgan Youngdale of Allen, Texas passed away on May 10, 2021, at the age of 78. He was born June 2, 1942, to Paul John Youngdale, Sr. and Martha Morgan in Austin, Texas. After being raised in Beaumont, Texas, Ralph moved to Austin, graduating from Austin High School in 1960. He graduated from Texas Christian University in 1965. In addition, Ralph attended The University of Texas Law School. Ralph married Sandra Gail Anthony on January 29, 1965, in Comanche, Texas. He worked as a technology and insurance salesman throughout his life. Ralph was a long-time member of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), he attended the First Christian Church of McKinney.

Ralph took great pride in being a descendant of leaders from the Cane Ridge Revival where the Disciples of Christ Church was formed in 1801. This was the first protestant church formed in the United States. In Ralph’s youth, he was honored to serve as the President of the Disciples of Christ Christian Youth Fellowship (CYF) program in Texas. This time helped build a strong foundation for a lifetime of service to the church and its summer camp program.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gail Youngdale of Allen, Texas; children, Teri Youngdale of Allen, Texas, Melissa Parsons and husband, Cliff of McKinney, Texas, and Ross Youngdale and wife, Jill of Americus, Georgia; grandchildren, Morgan Youngdale, Rylan Youngdale, Camie Cochran, Camille Cochran, Caroline Parsons, and Claire Parsons; sister, Ann Bogle of Fort Worth, Texas; brother, Paul John Youngdale, Jr. and wife, Patricia of Austin, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Bill Bogle.

A memorial service will be held at First Christian Church McKinney 1800 West Hunt Street McKinney, TX 75069 on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at 1:00 PM.
