IN LOVING MEMORY

Ralph T. Brown

Aug 30 1918 - Apr 18 2018

Ralph T. Brown was born August 30, 1918 in Orangeville, Texas. He was born again into the kingdom of God August 8, 1939 at the Baptist church. He went to his eternal home April 18, 2018. He was raised on the family farm that was settled by his great-great grandmother in 1851. His parents were Harry T. Brown and Monta Era Vestal Brown. He attended the Orangeville School, and graduated from Trenton High School. He married “His Sunshine” Bonnie on June 12, 1939. They were blessed to have been together for over 72 years, before her death in 2011. They lived on the family farm in Orangeville until he built their home in Whitewright in 1968. He worked at the Davis Cotton Gin in Trenton, farmed, and eventually became a carpenter. His hand prints are on numerous homes, churches, hospitals, colleges and businesses in Fannin, Grayson and Collin Counties. After retiring, he built a picture frame shop at their home in Whitewright. This was one of his most rewarding jobs because of the many friends he made while visiting with them. It has been said when you worked with Ralph you were taught a skill, words of wisdom, and how to live spiritually.

He and Bonnie were members at Kentuckytown Baptist Church. He loved the Church and served the Lord in many capacities. He was the Sunday School teacher for the Willing Workers Couples Class for 26 years. He loved each class member and has always considered them as part of the family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Bonnie, son Jimmy Wayne, grandchildren Mark, Lisa, and Gary Achimon, and his son-in-law L.C. Achimon. He leaves behind daughters Donnita Achimon, Pamela White and husband Bill White; grandchildren Bonita Brown, Jimmy Brown, Philip Achimon, Leslie Heatherington, and Donnie Achimon; ten great-grand-children and seven great-great grandchildren, and countless friends.

It was the love of family and friends, but most importantly his personal relationship with Jesus Christ that contributed to his living nearly 100 years on this earth.
Funeral Services will be at Kentuckytown Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday April 21, 2018. Family visitation will be at the Church on Friday evening at 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Officiating the service will be Rodney Stanford and Greg Allen. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Whitewright. Pallbearers will be Philip Achimon, Donnie Achimon, Jimmy Brown, Patrick Heatherington, Charlie Osborn, and Ronnie Pennell.
