Beloved son, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Rev. Rafael Amparo of Dallas, Texas passed away November 22, 2014 at the age of 78. He was born May 12, 1936 to Eladio Polanco and Mercedes Amparo in the Dominican Republic. In 1960 Rafael married Ligia Aybar in the Dominican Republic.
Rafael was a retired Reverend of the Pentecostal Faith. He was a great believer that stayed firm in the Word, and loved the Lord. He was loving, caring and always willing to help.
We are comforted to know that Rafael has gone to be with the Lord. He will be missed and forever in our hearts.
He is survived by his wife, Missionary Ligia Amparo of Dallas, TX; daughters, Nelly Amparo-Clayton and husband Cecil of Plano, TX; Liliana Amparo-Morales and husband Martin of Gainesville, VA; son, Rafael Amparo and wife Angelica of Milwaukee, WI; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers and sister.
Rafael was preceded in death by his son, Willie Amparo, Sr. and father, Eladio Polanco.
A graveside service will be held 12:00 noon, Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
