Phyllis Jean Bolin, 85, of Beverly Hills, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2025. She was born on December 29, 1939, in Charleston, West Virginia, to Bernard and Anna C. (Bess) Withrow.


Phyllis was a devoted wife, mother, and educator. She married Phillip Bolin in 1963 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and together they shared a loving marriage of 60 years. Throughout her life, Phyllis dedicated herself to education, earning a bachelors degree from Ohio University and a masters degree from Nova University.


She had an expansive career as a teacher at several schools namely Pines Lakes Elementary, the Principal of Davie Elementary and Professor at St. Leo University, all in Florida. Phyllis’s impact on countless students, colleagues and people will continue to be felt for ages.


A proud member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority for over fifty years, Phyllis remained passionate about supporting her community and giving back. She volunteered her time with the Path Rescue Mission, a local shelter dedicated to serving those in need and also FREA-Florida Retired Educators Association further demonstrating her compassion and commitment to making the world a better place.


Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Bolin of Denton, Texas; daughter, Sarah Guillotte of Frisco, Texas; grandchildren, Anna, Joseph, and Vera Guillotte, all of Frisco, Texas; and son-in-law, Joe W. Guillotte, Jr. of Frisco, Texas.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Bolin; parents, Bernard and Anna Withrow; and brothers, Robert E. and Gary Withrow.
