Philip Wayne Walker went to be with his Lord on April 10, 2024. Phil was a long time resident of Allen, Texas. He is survived by his parents, Lt Col Gerald D. Walker, USAF, Retired and Brenda Walker, sister Kara Golby and her husband Gary, niece Gillian Golby, and nephew, Ty Golby. He was predeceased by his brother Kenneth D. Walker
As an Air Force brat, he lived in California, Okinawa, Japan, Nebraska and Texas. Phil graduated from college with a Finance degree. He was a dedicated person to his family, career and friends. He had a strong work ethic that was beyond reproach. A quiet leader in the corporate world, he brought out the best in those he managed, as well as his peers at both JC Penney and At Home.
Phil was an avid sports lover and an outstanding local softball player in Plano and Allen.
Bicycling was another passion of Phil's. He was a member of the Plano Bicycle Club. In recent years, he toured many states on his motorcycle with friends.
Those he touched will miss him greatly. Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 19, 2024 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The service will also be live streamed. Following the service, the procession will make its way to the Garden of Resurrection, Ridgeview Memorial Park, for inurnment.
