Philip Deck, age 81, of McKinney, Texas, passed away December 5, 2016. Philip was born October 12, 1935, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Elah Michael and Kathryn Devore Deck. He attended Rice University where he played and lettered in golf. Philip graduated from Rice with his bachelor of science and his master’s degrees in electrical engineering. He proudly served in the United States Navy.
He is survived by his daughters, Patricia Deck Howington and husband, Joe of McKinney, Texas; Deanna Deck and husband, Matt Chapuis of Dallas, Texas; and Kathryn Deck Moore and husband, Brad of Phoenix, Arizona; son, Michael Deck and wife, Kristin of Frisco, Texas; grandchildren, Amy Toole and husband, Justin, Hannah DeStefano and husband, Matthew, Mary Louise Howington, Macey Deck, Kelly Deck, Mallory Deck, Oscar Deck, and Lucy Deck; great-granddaughter, Makayla DeStefano; and brother, Don Deck of California.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Carolyn Sanders Deck.
A private inurnment will be held at West Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Sherman, Texas at a later date, followed by a memorial gathering at his home with family and friends.
