Peter Christopher Burke of Murphy, Texas passed away on March 28, 2020 at the age of 67. He was born May 19, 1952 to Jackson and Catherine (Beers) Burke in Mexico City, Mexico. Peter graduated from The Abbey preparatory high school. He was an E4 in the United States Army from 1972-1975. Peter then attended the University of New Mexico where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. He worked as a robotics engineer. Peter married Valarie Closson on July 5, 1997 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He loved bass fishing, golfing, reading, listening to music, outdoor cooking and his dogs.
He is survived by his loving wife, Valarie Closson; cousins, Patricia Seward of Orange County, California, Lewis and Carol Seward of Elgin, Texas, Bill and Sandi Brown of Goodyear, Arizona; sister-in-law, Sydney Landreneau and husband, Bill of Pagosa Springs, Colorado and his daughter, Colleen Burke of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
