Peter Kitfield Chapman passed away at his home in McKinney, Texas on August 13, 2021, at the age of 83. He was born on August 14, 1937, to Ralph and Elizabeth Chapman of Belleville, New York.
Peter spent his entire career of 33 years working for Allied Stores Corporation. During his tenure with Allied, he was promoted over a dozen times and retired in 1989 as the Executive Vice President of Maas Brothers.
Peter was a devoted husband and loving father. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing as well as spending time with family and friends. He was often the “life of the party” and made many lasting friendships over the years.
A private service was held in McKinney, Texas on August 28th honoring his life. The family kindly asks that any donations made in Peter’s honor go to The Alzheimer’s Association. He supported this non-profit in loving memory of his wife Patricia Mason Chapman. Peter and Patricia were married for 37 years prior to her passing in 1998.
Peter is survived by his four children: Susan Lang of McKinney, Texas, Steven Chapman of McKinney, Texas, Scott Chapman of Katy, Texas and Michael Chapman of McKinney, Texas as well as eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
