Peter Galbreath Barr, age 8, of McKinney, Texas passed away March 11, 2008, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 28, 2000, to Scott Brian and Christina Jean (Bergen) Barr. Peter attended Walker Elementary School and was in Mrs. Trimble’s second grade class. He attended church with his family at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in McKinney. Peter loved swimming and playing soccer. He loved all animals, especially polar bears, penguins and kangaroos. He also enjoyed playing Pokemon. He is survived by his parents, Scott and Tina Barr of McKinney; brothers, Nathan and Spencer Barr and sister, Lindsey Barr; his dog, Scamp; grandparents, Ann Bergen of McKinney, Mr. and Mrs. James Galbreath of Hickory, North Carolina and Ellen Saputo of Bozeman, Montana; and great grandfather, Ted Clement of Sacramento, California. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 15, 2008, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Eldorado Parkway in McKinney. Bishop Mark Ogletree will officiate the services. Interment will follow at Ridgeview West Memorial Park in Frisco, Texas. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 7:00 p.m., Friday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
