Peggy Ann Cook was born March 7, 1946 to Myrl Dean and Roxie Carlton Dean in Anna, Texas. Peggy passed from this life on September 24, 2020 at her home in Princeton, Texas surrounded by her family. She was 74 years old.
Peggy graduated from Blue Ridge High School in 1964, after she married Bobby Cook on June 10, 1963. Bobby and Peggy were married for 57 years. Peggy worked various jobs including State Farm, babysitting, secretary at University Nursing Home and The Medicine Shoppe where she was the jack of all trades. But her favorite job was being a secretary at the Princeton ISD Administration building, where she proudly served for 18 years.
Peggy obeyed the gospel of Jesus Christ in her teens. She attended the Melissa Church Christ throughout her life. Her church family was especially important to her and she looked forward to meeting at the small congregation every Sunday.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband; Bobby of Princeton, Texas, her two children; daughter Lori Terry and husband Danny of Leonard, Texas, and son, Randall Cook and wife Kelly of Richardson, Texas. Peggy has 4 grandchildren: Brooke Jones and husband Corey of McKinney, Texas, Clayton Terry and wife Kirbie of Searcy, Arkansas, Raygan Cook of Richardson, Texas and Jacob Terry of Leonard, Texas. She is also survived by two great-grandsons: Caleb and Joshua Jones of McKinney, Texas, sister, Shirley Rushing of Leonard, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.
Funeral services will be held at the Blue Ridge First Baptist Church at 3:00 pm on Saturday, September 26, 2020. Frank Garner officiating. Burial will follow at the Blue Ridge cemetery. Pallbearers will be Clayton Terry, Jacob Terry, Jerry Rushing, David Rushing, Mike Cook and Corey Jones.
