Peggy Roberts Bourland passed away February 24, 2024 in McKinney, Texas at the age of 87. She was born to Charlie Calvin and Beatrice Gladys (Moran) Roberts on April 5, 1936 in McKinney, Texas.
Peggy married Glynn Ray Bourland on December 29, 1951 in Rockwall, Texas and they were together for 60 beautiful years. She was a proud lifelong member of Northwest Christian Church McKinney, where she honorably served her Lord, her church, and her church family. Peggy was a devoted wife and mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and recently great great grandmother. She retired from Texas Instruments after 23 years.
She is survived by her brother, Ronnie Roberts of Princeton, Texas; son, Ricky Glynn Bourland and wife, Sharon of Van Alstyne, Texas; grandson, Bruce and wife, Nikki Bourland from Midlothian, Texas; great grandchildren, Grace and Jolie; grandson, Blake Bourland and wife, Kimberly of McKinney, Texas; great grandchildren, Maddie and Mason; daughter, Gaynell Bourland Eastham and husband, Billy Jack of Anna, Texas; grandson, Derek Eastham and wife, Alexis of Sherman, Texas; great grandchildren, Taylor, Danny, Derek, Kaylee, and Cole; great great granddaughter, Bella; granddaughter, Brittany Eastham of McKinney, Texas; and great grandchildren, Brennan, Braylee, Kenzlee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Beatrice Roberts, brothers, Charles, Tommy, W.A., Lester, and Jerry Roberts; sisters, Lily Jo Hale-Reed and Dorothy Gibbons.
Peggy will be dearly missed by several nieces, nephews, church family and friends. We will all miss her chocolate chip cookies and macaroni and cheese. Peggy had many important titles, but Mammaw was her most precious.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. The service will also be live streamed at the following link: https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/peggy-roberts-bourland. The family will receive guests for a visitation from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Ridgeview Memorial Park following the service.
