Peggy (Peg) Earlene Ripple of Plano, Texas, born August 23rd, 1934, passed away from natural causes (physicians and family at her side) on December 23,2023 at the age of 89.
Peggy was the 2nd of 5 children born to Earl and Lillian Williamson of Stillwater Oklahoma. She graduated as valedictorian of her high school class in Stillwater and moved to Dallas, Texas shortly afterward. She married David H. Ripple in 1956 and they remained married for 21 years. Together they had one son, Daniel E. Ripple
In 1960, Peggy was hired by Texas Instruments (TI) where she advanced to management level in the IT-organization. She was a devoted employee for 38 years. She genuinely cared about her coworkers and friends and was strictly committed to ‘doing things the right way’—not only at work, but in all aspects of her life. After retirement, Peg became very active in the TI Alumni Association.
Peggy was a woman of faith her entire life and an active member of First Baptist Church of Richardson for 32 years. She loved helping others-- her family, church, and community. She was very happy to devote a great deal of her time to volunteer projects and charity efforts. Mostly she was a wonderful Mom, Grandma, and GG. She will be missed by many.
Peggy Ripple is survived by her son, Dan Ripple and wife, Joelene of Fairview, Texas.; granddaughter, Randi Doll and husband Adam Doll of Alpine, Wyoming.; great grandchildren, Kaya Doll and Banyan Doll of Alpine, Wyoming; her brother, Eddie Willamson and wife, Cheri of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; her nephews Philip Williamson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Kenny Williamson of Coyle, Oklahoma; her brother, Russell Williamson of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; nieces, Becky Jones of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Dianne Tunnell and husband Mark of Rockwall, Texas, Kelly Bohl of Tucson, Arizona, and Misty Clinger of Morrison, Oklahoma; and grandniece, Blair Tunnell of Rockwall, Texas.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Ray Williamson of Stillwater, Oklahoma.; and her sister, Joyce Johnston of Mesquite, Texas.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a viewing and visitation held on Wednesday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
