IN LOVING MEMORY

Peggy "Peach" Jean Prock

Aug 23 1936 - Nov 06 2018

Peggy "Peach" Jean Prock passed away peacefully on November 6, 2018, at Presbyterian Hospital Dallas.  She was born in Ft. Stockton, Texas, on August 23, 1936, to Margaret Jean (Moody) and George Prock, and loved sharing stories of happy summer days spent in Ft. Stockton after her family moved to Dallas.

Peggy attended Woodrow Wilson High School where she was a member of the ice skating club and later performed with a local ice dance company.  An exceptional beauty, Peggy was A&M college sweetheart and continued to be the consummate glamour girl.  After receiving her degree from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, Peggy was a flight attendant with Braniff Airlines until she married.  She was active in the arts community, serving on several boards and chairing events for Taca and the Opera.  As a Christian Women's speaker, Peggy volunteered with Christian ministries, including crisis hotline, and prepared endless meals for the homeless.  After raising her family, she enjoyed a long career as a College Admission Representative and touched many lives.  Peggy was known by her students and co-workers as prayer warrior and emergency snack drawer savior.  She was a loving mother and grandmother, and was most content when her family was gathered in her home for meals and time together.  Peggy leaves a rich heritage of faith in Christ.

She is survived by her son, M. Shane Griggs and his wife, Lynde; her daughter, Shelly Burns and her husband, John; and five grandchildren, Olivia, Haley and her husband, Tanner, Cameron, Shannon, and Paige.

Peggy is preceded in death by her father, George Prock; her mother, Margaret Prock; and her brother, Charles Prock.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Monday, November 12th at 1:30 p.m. at Christ Fellowship, 2801 Orchid Drive, McKinney, Texas, officiated by Pastor Steve Chappell.  Friends are invited to a reception that will follow the service.
