Pauline Richie Witt of McKinney, Texas passed away on October 4, 2019 at the age of 75. She was born on December 25, 1943 to Hubert and Mary Martha (Thorton) Richie in Homer, Georgia. She grew up in Toccoa, Georgia, where she attended school and graduated from Cornelia Regional High School. Pauline continued her education at Grayson College where she received her diploma to certify her as a licensed vocational nurse and practiced for over 30 years. She enjoyed singing and evangelizing with her church, where she was a member of Disciples of Christ Bible Fellowship in Little Elm, Texas.
Pauline is survived by her daughter, Faye Curtis and husband, Jerry Hardeman of Fate, Texas; grandchildren, Joshua Curtis, Jeremy Curtis, Quincy Gilstrap and Mark Gilstrap, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Brynlee Curtis, Tinsley Curtis and Kambrin Curtis; sister, Jessie Martin of Allen, Texas; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Mary Richie; daughter, Kinda Gilstrap; brothers, Lonnie Joe Richie, Weldon Richie and Joe Nathanial Richie; and sisters, Hattie Williamson and Jean Ramsey.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 11, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
