Paula Ann (Phillips) Cook of McKinney, Texas passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the age of 80. She was born on June 6, 1940 to A.W. and Anna Rae (Malone) Phillips, Jr. in the Community of Cottage Hill. Paula grew up in Celina, Texas where she graduated from Celina High School in 1958. Paula married Earl Dewayne Cook best known as “Cook” on August 30, 1958 at the home of John and Winnie Myers in McKinney, Texas. She worked at State Farm, O.Ed Smith Insurance, 1st National Bank McKinney and Collin County Court of Mental Health. Paula & Cook were inseparable; they enjoyed traveling with Massey-Ferguson and square dancing many nights away together. After retiring Paula enjoyed spending time with her beloved daughter, family & friends. She was known for her days traveling across the Red River to Choctaw for games and laughter among many.

Paula is survived by her daughter, Kellie Cook of McKinney, Texas; brothers, Glendon “Bud” Lee Phillips of Celina, Texas and Kenneth Larry Phillips and wife, Linda of McKinney, Texas; niece, Jill (Phillips) Rodarmer and husband, Paul of Tioga, Texas; nephews, Koby Phillips of McKinney, Texas and Kasey Phillips and wife, Araceli of McKinney, Texas; along with a numerous number of great nieces, great nephews, and many beloved friends.

Paula was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Dewayne Cook; parents, A.W. and Anna Rae Phillips, Jr.; brother, Thomas Malone; sister-in-law, Patsy Ann (Nelson) Phillips; nephew, Steven Phillips; and special family member, Eugene Knies.  

Memorial donations may be made to Cottage Hill Cemetery, PO BOX 616 Celina, Texas 75009.

A “come and go” visitation will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing.

In support of our local, state, and federal govt including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only a limited number of guests will be allowed to attend the Funeral Service.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 8, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. The service will also be live streamed at TJMfuneral.com on Paula’s obituary page by clicking on the following link: https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/paula-ann-cook. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location.

However, when the maximum number of guests are reached, those who would like to honor Paula and show their support to her family may remain at the funeral home in your vehicle, where you can watch the live streamed service on your personal device (laptop, tablet or smartphone).

Following the funeral service, a procession will make its way to the Cottage Hill Cemetery for a committal service where all are invited to attend the committal service maintaining social distancing directives.
