Paul Moehring of Plano, Texas passed away on October 17, 2018 at the age of 89. He was born on January 6, 1929, to Earl and Bertha (Piel) Moehring in Columbus, Ohio. Paul was a graduate of University of Texas where he earned a Bachelor Degree in Accounting. He served his country in the army as an auditor. Paul was a faithful member of Resurrection Lutheran Church Plano since 1975. Paul worked at the Defense Contract Audit Agency as an auditor for 40 years. After retirement, he was involved with the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, where he was an officer and volunteered extensively.
He is survived by his son, John Moehring and wife, Heather of College Station, Texas; daughter, Janice Eilers and husband, David of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Steven and Amanda Moehring; brother, Rev. Glenn Moehring of Bandera, Texas; sister, Elaine Haehnel of San Antonio, Texas; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Bertha Moehring; wife, Miriam; sons, Kenneth and Gary Moehring; and brother, Philip Moehring.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Plano, Texas. Inurnment will be at Ridgeview Memorial Park.
